Can't Be Tamed

By: Andrew Vaughan

It had to happen, Miley/Hannah grew up and wanted to be appreciated as an artist not a kids' TV star. History suggests that Billy Ray’s little girl is doomed, but this album, while not the real deal quite yet, does suggest she has a better chance than most to transorm herself into a...

Eureka

 By: Emily J Ramey

The first time I heard of Rooney, my college roommate was dragging me to a concert in Manhattan in 2006.  They were still touring on their debut album, and their live show blew me away.  There’s just something about that California rock that captures and ignites universally....

Shout It Out

Hanson is another one of those bands that can boast deep, inherent roots in my 90s adolescence.  My memories of Isaac, Taylor, and Zac border on 6th grade obsession (you know, magazine clippings papering the locker, every lyric memorized, requesting radio play of “MMMBop,...

American Music Channel is “Giving Back” through creating philanthropic campaigns that align charitable organizations and artists to make a difference in our world.

By: Andrew Vaughan

In case you missed it, Nashville was hammered by an epic flood disaster on May 1 and May 2 this year. Among the thousands affected were hundreds of musicians, some famous, some not. So it was a typically Nashville moment last week when the music community got together to give help and make a statement that Nashville is on its way back. Faith Hill, who organized the event along with singing husband Tim McGraw said at the show, "Nashville will rise and that is why we have come together tonight. Musicians, football players, coaches, our elected officials, you in the audience, yes, we are all the same. We're just neighbors who care and friends who want to make a difference."
